Abstract des Autors

In this paper the authors studied three groups of female athletes (respectively long-sprint runners, young basketball players and bodybuilders) by a non invasive field test to determine training running programs for improvement of aerobic power. Two experimental phases characterize the test: a) determination of regression line heart rate vs. VO2 (indirect method of Margaria) by three experimental points; b) determination of regression line heart rate vs. running velocity by three undermaximal 600 meters track running cycles at constant velocities, growing at each cycle. It is possible, by analysis and comparison of two experimental regression lines, to determine the following physiological data: a) VO2max; b) O2 pulse (ml O2/beat); c) energetic cost of running (CE=VO2/vel at iso-heart rate); d) training velocities equivalent to fractional utilizations of VO2max having peculiar biochemical and physiological meanings. Mean training velocities equivalent to 85% and 100% VO2max resulted significantly higher (p<0.001) in long-sprint runners. Instead, mean VO2max values did not prove statistically different in the two groups of long-sprint runners and basketball players. The female runners are characterized by significantly lower mean values of CE, probably due to specific training programs. Verf.-Referat
