Abstract des Autors
The incidence of the overuse syndrome in the elbow area, the so-called tennis elbow has been increasing during the past years. In their review the authors summarize the best known theories concerning the etiology and pathogenesis of the lateral and medial epicondylitis. They review the possibilities of conservative and surgical treatment. Their own experience - a representative evaluation - is also presented based on a retrospective study regarding the patients who underwent tennis elbow surgery during the last one and a half years.
