Abstract des Autors
Many school-aged children are injured in athletic pursuits. Injuries from macrotrauma (fractures, ligament tears) or microtrauma (overuse) are the major categories of musculoskeletal problems. Appreciation of the dynamic effects of growth is essential to provide prevention and treatment for athletic injuries in this age group.
