Abstract des Autors

Aus Anlass des 100. Geburtstages von Norbert ELIAS wird dessen prozess- und figurationstheoretischer Ansatz fuer Sportwissenschaft und Sportpaedagogik gewuerdigt und untersucht. Dies geschieht in drei Schritten. Erstens wird ein Ueberblick ueber die Rezeption des Werks von ELIAS in Sport und Sportwissenschaft gegeben; auffallend sind dabei die Unterschiede zwischen der eher spaerlichen Rezeption in Deutschland und der intensiveren Beschaeftigung mit ELIAS in England, insbesondere durch DUNNING u.a.; zweitens werden die Grundlagen der Prozess- und Figurationstheorie dargelegt, drittens Ueberlegungen zur Bedeutung dieses Theoriekonzepts fuer die Sportwissenschaft als einer integrativen Wissenschaft angestellt. Dabei geht es sowohl um sportanthropologische als auch paedagogische und sozialwissenschaftliche Anknuepfungspunkte. Verf.-Referat

Abstract

Norbert Elias’ 100th birthday is the cause for the examination of his process- and figuration theoretical approach for sport science and sportpedagogy. This will be done in three steps: Firstly, a review of the reception of Elias’ work in sport and sport science; noticable are the differences between the rather sparce reception in Germany and the more intensive preoccupation with Elias in England mainly by Dunning et al. Secondly, the basis of the process- and figuration theory are shown to draw thoughts - in the third step - of this theoretical concept for its meaning for the sport science as an integrative science. En l’honneur du centenaire de Norbert Elias, on étudie l’importance de sa théorie de processus et de figuration pour le sport et la science du sport. D’abord, on étudie l’influence des idées de N. Elias sur le sport et sur la science du sport. On remarque qu’en Allemagne, cette influence a été beaucoup moins importante qu’en Angleterre, par exemple dans les travaux de Dunning et al. Ensuite, on présente les lignes fondamentales de la théorie de processus et de figuration. Enfin, on réfléchit sur l’importance de cette approche théorique pour la science du sport en tant que science intégrative.
