Abstract des Autors

Two groups of young male adults, practising sports at amateur level, underwent screening of arterial blood pressure with chronobiological methods. The effects of bed rest on blood pressure and heart rate circadian rhythms were investigated. Subjects of group 1 were waiting to undergo surgical or diagnostic procedures for osteo-tendinous pathologies. These subjects were free to walk and move around in the hospital. They were monitored for at least 24 hours with a portable device. Subjects of group 2 were compelled to bed-rest because of surgical or diagnostic procedures for osteo-tendinous pathologies of the lower limbs. The data of the single patients were analyzed with the cosinor method. The pooled data of group 1 and group 2 were analyzed with the mean cosinor method. The results were eventually confronted with Hotelling's test. Group 1 and 2 resulted significantly different for MESOR of heart rate. In the bed-rest group, 81.2% of the subjects failed to exhibit circadian rhythm of diastolic blood pressure versus 42.1% of the freely walking subjects. Verf.-Referat
