Abstract des Autors
Many studies have investigated the blood pressure profile of sportsmen all through sport performances by means of invasive techniques. This kind of investigation is characterized to many artifices due to the absence of any standardized procedure and, mainly to the patient's compliance, that doesn't allow a screening of a large number of sportsmen. In order to evaluate the clinical meaning of the blood pressure profile in sport activity, we studied all through a football match, 10 normotensive referees (age 21.3+/-3.5 years), members of "Comitato Arbitri della Regione Puglia", by means of a non-invasive recorder (SPACE-LABS m90207 Kontron), after a clinical examination and obtained informed consent. The blood pressure recorder was applied at 10 a.m. until 7 p.m., some hours after a match. The data point to a maximum rise of blood pressure levels 12 minutes before the match starts. Our results seem to confirm the importance of adequate physical training to prevent abnormal hemodynamic responses and, on the other side, the peculiar role of psychic stimulation on blood pressure responsitivity, more than the physical exercise.
