Abstract des Autors
Arthroscopy has become a useful tool both diagnostically and therapeutically in the treatment of athletic foot and ankle injuries. A thorough knowledge of the tendinous and neurovascular structures will minimize complications. Debridement of osteochondral lesions of the talus and bony and soft-tissue impingement lesions now may be performed arthroscopically with results comparable with established open techniques. Although still evolving, arthroscopy in the foot shows promise with expanded indications for the athlete. Verf.-Referat
