Abstract des Autors
This article discusses the cause, recognition, and management of meniscal tears in the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL)-deficient knee. An algorithm summarizing the author's preferred mangement of such tears is presented. Because meniscal repairs are at a higher risk for retear in the ACL-deficient knee, it is recommended that ACL reconstruction be performed in the otherwise appropriate candidate. Nevertheless, repair of a meniscal tear considered reparable is not contraindicated in the ACL-deficient knee that does not undergo ACL reconstruction. Verf.-Referat
