Meniscal repair has become a commonplace procedure for the treatment of meniscal injuries. Although clinical studies have shown excellent results following repair of tears within the peripheral vascular zone of the meniscus, various techniques have been developed to optimize repair possibilities in the marginally vascularized areas of the meniscus.
