Abstract des Autors
In this article a case of lateral epicondylitis in a triathlete is described, caused by an injury of the origin of the m. brachioradialis. Clinical diagnosis was confirmed by echography. Treatment consisted of infiltration of corticoids and initial reduction of exercise, followed by progressive training. Much attention was paid to endurance training, before powertraining was resumed. This case illustrates the unreliability of self-diagnoses and also the fact that perseverance of training while in pain lends to neglecting the period of time required for physical recovery.
