Most injuries of the athlete's elbow, forearm, and wrist are attributable to overuse or traumatic conditions. Occasionally, however, an underlying tumor may be responsible. Because of the infrequency of this condition, evaluation and appropriate management often are delayed or incomplete. This article gives an overwiew of some of these uncommon conditions and provides a framework within which to anticipate, evaluate, and refer (when necessary) unusual problems of the athlete's forearm, elbow, and wrist.
