Abstract des Autors

Heart transplantation has proved to be a useful and valid therapeutic decision in advanced heart disease. The five and ten years follow-up show both a very good survival rate and a comfortable quality of life, enough to allow the commencement of the restarting of sporting activities. In addition, in our study we found that with the passing of time since heart transplantation physical training habit becomes more and more frequent. Unavoidably cause of the achievement of HT procedure, the population of older cardiac patients in position to perform sporting activities will become more and more numerous. Sporting training could be indeed recommended in order to achieve a more complete physical and psychological recovery. Much probably in the future medical sporting science must take into account a new sporting subject: the heart transplanted subject. Verf.-Referat
