Abstract
Innovations in equipment and changes in social attitudes continue to tear down the barriers to sports participation, allowing people who have disabilities to take part in nearly every athletic activity. However, many patients still don't know about the array of opportunities, such as the Paralympics, which took place in September. Physicians are in a unique position to help them discover these sports events and fitness options.
