Abstract des Autors

The work focused on the question whether a relationship exists between the exercise-induced increase in blood lactate level and the psychomotor performance of Polish Ist league soccer players. Post-exercise psychomotor changes displayed a non-uniform course: in the first 2 minutes a decrease was observed, then an increase (3-4 min), followed by a relatively steady level with a slight tendency to decrease. Six minutes after the exercise the psychomotor performance, was however, lower from the initial one. No significant relationship between the differential reaction time and blood lactate was found in the first post-exercise phase in spite of a decreased psychomotor performance which was due rather to disturbances in the mobilization of attention and concentration.
