Abstract des Autors
The aim of the work was to study the compensatory mechanisms of keeping standing posture while performing cyclic pendulum motions of upper limbs. The movements of upper limbs, head, trunk, thigh and lower leg, as well as changes in the position of the feet-ground contact in the sagittal plane, were recorded in 20 subjects. It was demonstrated that compensation of those movements consists of translocations of the trunk, thigh, head and lower leg in the direction of the limb motion which is to follow. After the motion has been initiated, the compensation of a momentary postural sway consists of the translocation of the feet-ground contact in the sagittal plane in the opposite direction.
