Reagin secretion by immune splenocytes in trained rats and exercise-induced changes of local cutaneous anaphylaxis phenomenon

Abstract des Autors

Fischer male rats primed intraperitoneally with ambrosia pollen allergen were subjected to physical training from Day 1 to 10 (Group 1) or from Day 20 to 30 (Group 2) of the immediate hypersensitivity development. Suspensions of immune splenocytes were prepared and tested for reagin secretion in the reaction of adoptive cutaneous anaphylaxis, 30 days after the sensitizing injection of allergen. Inoculation of immune splenocytes from animals of Group 1 to syngenic non-sensitized recipients was accompanied by a less pronounced cutaneous anaphylactic reaction following a single intravenous injection of allergen to the recipients, than it was established for splenocyte suspensions obtained from untrained sensitized rats. The training applied from Day 20 to 30 of the development of hypersensitivity did not influence the reagin secretion by immune splenocytes. A single exhausting physical exercise performed by syngenic recipients after transplantation of immune splenocytes was accompanied by an augmented anaphylactic reaction in the postexercise period when the animals were challenged with a specific allergen. It was concluded that physical training may suppress the reagin response only in the initial phase of the immediate hypersensitivity development, while a single exhausting physical load can markedly stimulate the tissue reactivity to the reagin-secreting cells.
