Abstract des Autors

The combination of the action of the diverse muscle groups of the shoulder, the weak structural stability of the articulation, and the ample mobility of the upper limb, render necessary a perfect coordination and an equilibrium of the muscles that act to determine movement. Isokinetic exercise can be used both for the improvement of muscle quality and for rehabilitation programs. The aim of this work is to establish the normal values of the strength of the muscles that act in the movement of the shoulder in order to have the standard parameters as an object of the protocol of rehabilitation and of the programs of strengthening that are desired. The tests have been done on a homogenous group of young athletes. The movements studied were the flexion-extension, the abduction-adduction and the extra-intrarotation, up to the maximum range of motion of the limb. The maximum values of the peak torque are found in the extension movement, followed by those obtained in adduction, flexion, abduction, intrarotation and extrarotation. The peak torque in the flexion resulted in 91% with respect to the extension, in abduction 86% with respect to adduction, in extrarotation 81% with respect to intrarotation.
