Abstract des Autors
We report a case of an avulsion of the extensor hallucis longus. This unusual injury was sustained by rapid forced flexion of the great toe fixed to the ground; forward momentum of the body added to the powerful force on the toe. To our knowledge, there have been no previous reports of this type of injury. This case was treated successfully with surgical management. Verf.-Referat
