Abstract des Autors
During sail races extreme habits for trimming the boats are necessary for hours and hours. Also the locomotorium is burded by sudden, often changing loads. If this load is over capacity, there will be distress-bearing areas in muscles, tendons and ligaments, escpecially in the spine. Since 1972 every four years the German Olympic class sailors are examined through their function of locomotor system using the so called neutral-O-method. 104 probands showed less joint mobility which in 82% begun with traumatic tears of ligaments and luxations (often relapsed). The rest of painful mobility is induced by tendovaginitis. Since helping-belts are used for trimming we saw some exoneration. Nevertheless the unphysiological false posture combined with ultraphysiological strength cannot always be controlled. Verf.-Referat
