Abstract des Autors
In 24 top level bodybuilders (BB) the effect of body-building training practiced for several years with or without application of anabolic steroids was studied. In BB with intake of anabolic substances several single lipoproteins and subfractions, respectively, were significantly lower compared to BB without application of anabolic drugs. In single cases HDL-cholesterol was barely detected. The alterations in fat metabolism seem to be at least partly reversible after discontinuation of substance intake. BB without intake of anabolic steroids do not show quantitative alterations, which might represent an antiatherogenic profile. Verf.-Referat
