Abstract des Autors

To assess the aerobic capacity, 12 speed skaters underwent an ice steptest (ICE; 5 x 8 rounds) as well as a cycle steptest (C) with determination of the individual anaerobic threshold (ICE-IAT, C-IAT) and the 4 mmol/l lactate threshold (ICE-AT, C-AT). A 4 x 10 m icetest (ICE40) as well as two rpm-dependent cycle tests (test I: 10 s; test II. 30 s) assesses the alactic and overall anaerobic capacity. The correlation analysis showed the following results: ICE-IAT, ICE-AT and C-IAT correlate with results in 1500 to 5000 m competitions (CT). ICE40 shows correlations to the work loads in test I and II as well as to CT 500 and 1000. Test I and II also correlate with CT 500 and 1000, respectively. The results indicate that both the ice steptest and the cycle steptest allow a specific performance diagnostics, especially about competitions above 1500 m. The ice steptest also allows a specific control of training intensity. Anaerobic test combinations, especially on ice, provide additional indicators for the sprint performance. Verf.-Referat
