Abstract des Autors

According to present knowledge there exists a dynamic equilibrium between coagulation and fibrinolysis. In special cases a disturbance of this equilibrium results in bleeding or thrombosis. Physical exercise leads to an activation of the blood coagulation system. After different kinds of physical exercise partial thromboplastin time was found to be significantly decreased, whereas prothrombin time as well as thrombin time remained nearly unchanged. As indicators for intravascular thrombin formation increased fibrinopeptide-A concentration and, in several cases, fibrin monomers were found. Furthermore, an activation of blood platelets was found by increased platelet factor-4 and beta-thromboglobulin concentrations. The increased activity of the coagulation system is balanced by a more than proportional activation fo the fibrinolytic system in healthy subjects. This activation is mainly caused by the release of tissue plasminogen activator by the vascular endothelium. Verf.-Referat
