Abstract des Autors
Primary ACL repair with or without extraarticular augmentation can be functionally and statistically successful. Proper surgical technique, appropriate rehabilitation, and excellent quality of tissue being repaired are required to achieve these results. Even though intra-articular reconstruction of the torn ACL continues to be the standard, primary repair of the ACL with appropriate extraarticular augmentation should not be ruled out in many cases.
