Abstract des Autors

The reactivity of peritoneal mast cells to ambrosia pollen allergen was investigated in sensitized and non-sensitized rats after an exhausting physical exercise. An increased level of mast cell reactivity to ambrosia allergen was observed following a maximal physical exercise in both sensitized and non-sensitized rats. An increased level of mastocyte reactivity to allergen was observed in non-sensitized rats only after physcial load, but not in the pre-exercise samples of peritoneal suspensions from intact animals. An augmented mast cell reactivity to allergen in both sensitized and non sensitized animals, vs. a background increase of spontaneous degranulation of mastocytes and their reactivity to Triton X-100, was demonstrated. These changes were more pronounced in sensitized animals following an exhausting exercise. The results were discussed as a possible pathoformic mechanism mediating the development of allergic complications under strenuous physical loads. Verf.-Referat
