Abstract des Autors

Although most clinicians obtain postoperative radiographs after reconstructive procedures, objective radiographic criteria to evaluate anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) surgery is minimal. To correlate ACL gross anatomy with standard radiographic views of the knee, a cadaveric study was performed in which the entire ACL and its femoral and tibial attachments are sequentially painted with a radiopaque tantalum powder-cyanoacrylic mixture. Radiographs of this preparation revealed reproducible relationships between the ligament and established bony radiographic landmarks. The center of the femoral ACL origin, on true lateral knee radiographs, was within 2.6 mm of variance from a perpendicular drawn at the posterior margin of the intercondylar notch four-tenths the length of the intercondylar notch. The tibial insertion of the ACL was posterior to the tibial intersection of Blumensaat's line when the knee was fully extended. Recommended objective radiographic criteria for the evaluation of intraosseous tunnel placement after AcL reconstruction are thus proposed. Verf.-Referat
