This paper introduces the use of a computer system for physique assessment. The system, based on cross sectional data assemblies on 24,000 Canadians, calculates Adiposity and Proportional Weight stanine ratings. The data required for the computations include height, weight, eight skinfolds, ten girths, two bone breadths and four skinfold corrected girths. Height-adjusted profiles of 25 anthropometric items for males and females for ages 6 to 70 are presented. The system is discussed and illustrated by five computer printouts on a single woman whose physique status was misinterpreted by conventional body mass index (BMI) and percent fat formulae. Professional and client options and provision for recall and comparison of serial data or other subjects are discussed in the context of the interpretive plan. Verf.-Referat
