Abstract
The purpose of this investigation was to study two methods of teaching falling in judo traditional (part method) vs non-traditional (whole method) and to determine the possible effects that each method had in facilitating better skill ability, falling ability, knowledge related to flaling and contest ability. Two groups consisting of 60 subjects per group were established. The results support the concept that teaching methods are related to objectives. The students who trained under the traditional method performed significantly better in falling while the students who trained under the non-traditional method of instruction performed significantly better in contest.
