Abstract

By adapting an electrophysiological technique, selective eye-head coordination reaction time as well as bodily reaction time, was measured and classified into 3 phases, with the idea of utilyzing it in the prediction of so called open skill, in both Standard Condition and Modified Condition in which subjects reacted in the direction and in the opposite direction of the arrows respectively. From the results a good perspective has been gained which enables us to utilize selective eye-head coordination reaction time to predict open skill. However to make sure, the following must be examined: 1) the difference between athletes of various sports, 2) the developmental process of reaction time, 3) the validity and reliability as the test for open skill.
