Abstract
This article briefly reviews some of the important aspects of high altitude cardiovascular physiology related to the known and as yet unknown risks to the cardiac patient. Recommendations are made by the authors regarding the screening and risk stratification of cardiac patients preparing to venture on a high altitude trek. Verf.-Referat
