Abstract

The survey investigated freshmen psychology and sixth grade students knowledge of the origins of fifteen popular games. It was found that students, on the average, correctly knew the origins of about four games. Furthermore, on the average, for four of the fifteen games students incorrectly attributed their origins to the U.S.A. Most commonly students regarded baseball, bowling and football to have originated in the U.S.A. Verf.-Referat
