Abstract

Exercise commitment has received much attention among researchers, but most of such work had focused on the able-bodied participants. In these study, the commitment to training among wheelchair marathon athletes was examined in light of their actual number of hours spent on training each week. Results indicated that male and female athletes showed a similar commitment to training and that those who spent more hours in training per week also scored higher in the paper and pencil questionnaire used to assess their committment to training.
