Abstract
Thirty young sportsmen with ankle instability due to traumatic or constitutional factors, have been treated with functional taping and proprioceptive exercises. Only two cases could not resume their activity due to persistent instability. Other 28 cases obtained a complete functional recovery and 19 of them felt no need of taping or orthosis two months later. Functional treatment of ankle instability gave good results and in most patients no surgery was needed. Verf.-Referat
