Abstract

We set ourselves the aim of working out a loading test which is quick and can be carried out in field conditions as well. We decided to control the physical fitness of those sportsmen, mainly, who are exposed to interval-like exercise. A performance-test was applied in the form of a 15 x 30 m running exercise done twice in field conditions: on the first occasion the speed was quite moderate, while on the second it was maximal. During the five months, three examinations were carried out. Eleven men were subjected to the tests. The most important observation was that the running speed increased from 6.14 +/- 0.23 to 7.07 +/- 0.2 m/s, the blood lactate level decreased from 9.02 +/- 1.27 to 6.73 +/- 1.52 mmol/l and the anaerobic threshold shifted to the direction of a higher speed by 0.92 +/- 0.15 m/s. It appeared that during a five-month session the physical fitness improved, which was also proved by the increase of the aerobic power. Further advantages of this method are that it can be used on the field as well, it is more reliable than the change of the aerobic power, and it also enables the individual optimalization of training. Some correlations between the anaerobic effort and aerobic power are complementary to each other. Verf.-Referat
