Abstract
In longitudinal observations made on twins from Warsaw population, strength measurements were carried out in order to determine strength heritability. Monozygotic (27 pairs) and dizygotic (23 pairs) equisexual twins were examined every 6 months in the age interval 11 - 18 years. The anually determined heritability coefficients (h2) ranged from 0.629 to 0.786 thus expressing the relatively significant contribution of genetic factors to the formation of that motor trait.
