Abstract
Insertional tendinopathy of the wrist extensors is an overuse injury affecting many athletes (mostly tennis players), but also non sporting-peoples whose occupation involves iterative movements of pronation-supination of the forearm and gripping of the hand. This article review etiology, pathogenesis, clinics and proper treatment (conservative and surgical) for epicondylitis. It rivets the critical importance for avoiding reinjury of a complete program of exercises for stretching and strenghtening wrist extensors, the use of a counterforce brace, the choice of proper sport equipment and the learning of correct technique in athletic movements.
