Abstract
All hand and wrist injuries require immediate on-the-field evaluation by the trainer or team physician. Optimal treatment begins on the playing field and not the operative field. This article focuses on the evaluation and recognition of serious wrist injuries. The various modes of treatment are briefly discussed, and emphasis is placed on the expected length of the disability. Verf.-Referat
