Abstract

Total creatine kinase (CK) and CK-MB activities were determined in serum obtained from free style wrestlers (national team). Blood samples were collected before exercise, directly after exercise and next day in the morning. Post exercise CK and CK-MB plasma activity was related mainly to the intensity of work and mode of muscle contraction. Mixed training (soccer game, two sparring contests) resulted in significant changes of CK-MB activity in comparison with field race both directly after the exercise and at rest. CK-MB percentage was similar after two kinds of training. This supports the idea of muscle CK and CK-MB origin. Presented data suggest that long lasting wrestlers training may stimulate adaptation profile of creatine kinase isoenzymes in skeletal muscles. Verf.-Referat
