Abstract des Autors

Determinations of plasma creatine kinase and lactate dehydrogenase activity in women kayak paddlers with different years of training have shown that exercise on a EK-1 kayak ergometer resulted in a significant increase of creatine kinase activity only in the junior group. In the senior group the enzyme activity increase was observed only after 10 min test. Comparison between the results of women and those of senior men revealed that post-exercise CK activity increase in women takes place after markedly lower total work. The results suggest that the evaluation of post-exercise CK activity responses differentiates the athletes as regards duration of their training and hence, the degree of adaptation to exercise.
