Abstract
The effects of physical effort upon selected protein metabolism indices in laboratory rats were examined. Five week long experiment upon two groups of animals, the control one and the trained one was carried out. The content of protein in the liver and total protein, albumin, globulins and urea in plasma were determined. It was shown that exercise significantly decreased the content of protein in the liver, protein and albumin in plasma and increased plasma urea, while plasma globulins were not affected. It was concluded that physical effort accelerated protein catabolism. Verf.-Referat
