Abstract
The emphasis of this article is the role of integrated electromyography (EMG) and motion analysis in the evaluation of the shoulder. Linear shoulder motions, athletic activities, and rehabilitation exercises are discussed. Knowledge of the contributions of EMGs and motion analysis will aid in the understanding of the biomechanics of the shoulder, and hopefully assist in clinical evaluation, treatment, and subsequent rehabilitation.
