Abstract

The acute injury of 62 athletes was treated by Hotemin (Piroxicam) capsules. The mean recovery time was 28,55 days in case of severe injury. Comparing to other treatments in middle-severe and mild cases the shortening of the recovery time was also observed. A close correlation was observed between the clinical symptoms and MDA (malondialdehyd) content of the synovial exsudate. It is interesting to mention that MDA content of the exsudate decreases before the improvement of the clinical symptoms. In the prognosis of exsudative sport injuries it is suggested to follow-up MDA content of the exsudate. On basis of the shorter recovery time the use of Hotemin capsule is indicated in the treatment of sport injuries. Verf.-Referat
