Abstract

During the period between 1986-1988, twenty-six arthroscopic operations were performed on shoulder-joint at the casualty Orthopaedic Surgical Department at the Institute of Sport Medicine and Hygiene. The present essay contains the technical description of the arthroscopic intervention and demonstrates the arthroscopic anatomy of the shoulder-joint as well. It is essential to know everything about the technique of the intervention in order to perform it without any complication. Diagnostic mistakes of any kind can only be avoided by a thorough knowledge of the arthroscopic anatomy. According to the authors, it is the shoulder joint which besides the knee-joint is the most suitable for arthroscopic intervention. Verf.-Referat
