Abstract

Anaerobic capacity was studied in 10 junior female handball players by using the 30 s Wingate test. The test was repeated 6 times in different periods of the annual training cycle. The loads applied to lower extremities were 75 g/kg, by using a Monark cycloergometer. The pedal revolution time was measured with an electromagnetic device coupled to an ECG. Basic mechanical parameters were recorded: momentary power for 3 s intervals, absolute and relative maximum power, time to attain and to sustain maximum power, amount of external work, relative value and the index of fatigue. Anaerobic capacity and power output were found to be high and related to the phase of the training cycle. Verf.-Referat
