Abstract

In a previous article it was shown that many multi-joint movements require not only a control of joint displacements but also the control of a distinct distribution of net moments over the joints. In this paper it is hypothesised that the (learning to) control of mono- and bi-articular muscles might be based on different organisational processes. These different processes will require different sources of information. The learning to control movements on the basis of information is discussed in the light of exciting results obtained in simulations of neural networks. Verf.-Referat
