Abstract

Morphological, physiological and psychological data were recorded from 120 leading junior tennis players throughout the adolescent growth period in a mixed longitudinal study. Male and female subjects from this sample were separated and scores from the 3 rd to the 97th percentile were tabulated in four age categories (10-11 years, 12-13 years, 14-15 years and 16-17 years). Eleven percentile scores were than created for each of the morphological and physiological variables thus creating a sufficient spread of values for profiling purposes. The seven achivement categories created for the psychological data were based upon the 3rd, 10th, 30th, 50th, 70th, 90th and 97th percentile scores. Tables showing these normative data are presented in this paper. Verf.-Referat
