Abstract
Lumbar disk protrusions in children and adolescents are rare and account for only 1 to 2 of lumbar disk surgery. Even more rare are the reported cases of apophyseal fractures with posterior bony protrusion. To the authors knowledge, only 11 such cases have been reported in the adolescent lumbar spine and only one case in a young adult. A 12th case is now added with a review of the literature, diagnostic techniques, and discussion of the mechanism of injury. Verf.-Referat
