Abstract
The symptoms of bone tumors can be mistaken for those of overuse injuries or muscle strains or sprains. Such a missed diagnosis not only raises medicolegal questions, but can delay necessary, prompt treatment. This article presents four cases of bone tumors originally thought to be sports-related injuries. The authors stress the need for follow-up and for diagnostic tests to minimize the risk of incorrect diagnoses. Verf.-Referat
