Abstract

The effects of training on the changes in plasma creatine kinase (CK) activity and plasma urea immediately after the exercise and in the recovery period were studied in free-style wrestlers. Blood for the determinations was taken from fingertip in the morning (fasting sample), as well as before and after selected training exercises. It was found that the exercise-induced increases in both parameters depend on training loads, and in case of CK-activity - on the kind of muscle work. Monitoring plasma CK-activity and urea may be of practical value in preventing too big disturbances in the homeostasis. Verf.-Referat
