Abstract
This article provides physicians with a basic awareness of the multifaceted aspects of gymnastics safety. Through this awareness, a physician may readily observe a gymnastics program and assess its relative concern for the safety of participants and hence be in a position of issuing a supportive or nonsupportive statement to patients who are involved in that particular program.
