Abstract
In order for an athlete to train for a sport, the requirements of that sport must be known. Gymnastics events are of high intensity and short duration and require specialized training to adapt to the metabolic and strength and power demands. Flexibility and an aesthetic image are also required. Gymnastics has been studied to a minimal degree and more applied work is needed. Verf.-Referat
